Review - Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China

An arcade fighter plane game that's set in WWII times. Takes place in China, Burma and India. You play different roles throughout the game aswell. From fighter to bomber, so it'll mix it up ever so slightly here and there.

The combat is pretty fun but quick. Though some times I'm left feeling ripped off with the objectives. Shooting down 8 planes while there's like 50 left is just not doing it for me. I wanna take down more fighters! But, it is an arcade type. Guess its just not what I'm used to? lol

Audio: The BGM is rock, mostly. Cool, I suppose. Actually, that's all I heard. It's just fine, considering the pace of the game. Though when you compare the songs to the graphics, it sounds like it's on the low budget side. Kinda hope they "remaster" those.

The sound effects are decent, hope they improve it. One of the missions where you take the gunner seat of a B-25, there was soooo much gunfire sounds that it would go in and out and sometimes cut out for a few seconds. :(

After like the 4th mission, the voice overs cut out. It is Early Access, so ima let that slide for now.

Graphics: The graphics and menus look very, very nice. The plane models look fantastic, even the ground units.

Conclusion: I really did enjoy this one. So ima recommend it. If you're looking for a nice looking arcadey fighter plane game, then this might be one for you to check out. :)

I'd also recommend using a controller. I tried playing with keyboard+mouse and it was just no. Switched to a controller and it was way more enjoyable.
